500m EUR Investment for Porto Montenegro! The future Porto Montenegro, will be defined by a new decade of investment totalling over 500m Euros.

Another ten years, another 500m EUR investment for Porto Montenegro!

The future of luxury Tivat-based superyacht marina and residential village, Porto Montenegro, will be defined by a new decade of investment totalling over 500m Euros.

“So far, we have built up only 30% of a total area of 24 hectares which formerly belonged to Tivat’s military Arsenal shipyard, totalling around 500m Euros to date. The next ten years of investment will likely mirror the past decade in terms of value as we work to implement new state-of-the-art facilities, mixed-use complexes and residential neighbourhoods. By 2029, only half of the remaining land will be developed, leaving room for yet more surprises in future years,” remarked Senior PR & Marketing Manager, Danilo Kalezic, at a press conference in Monaco this September.

Adriatic Marinas Porto Montenegro CEO, David Margason, further highlights the company goal of “filling in the missing pieces” of the Porto Montenegro jigsaw puzzle that will place Montenegro on the map of the world’s most renowned super- and mega-yacht hubs.

“Whilst marina developments across the globe aim to create a homeport experience for mega- and superyacht owners, the favourable tax economy, flexible charter regulations, low living costs and stunning natural surroundings make Montenegro a firm global competitor. It’s difficult to find a destination that quite matches Montenegro in terms of practical and unparalleled aesthetic characteristics,” comments Margason.

At the recent Monaco talks, Kalezic shared the 2019 season highlights – this summer, Porto Montenegro welcomed several world-class sports and lifestyle events, among them the prestigious international RC44 regatta, the Giga Yacht Captains’ Forum, début of the Sunreef Yachts catamaran as well as Montenegro’s first ever polo tournament.

“Together with the latest residential buildings and retail spaces, the completion of the Regent Pool Club Residences BAIA wing and the village’s newest standalone building, Elena Residences, our new multifunctional sports and leisure Arena and the BlueRoom gaming and recreation centre, Porto Montenegro has transformed from a seasonal hotspot to a year-round destination and regional lifestyle and multi-dimensional professional hub,” added Kalezic.
