Istanbul to Host the Fourth Edition of Superyacht Summit Türkiye

Superyacht Summit Türkiye returns to Istanbul on 4–5 November 2026, bringing together
leading names from across brokerage, yacht building, design, finance, technology and yacht
management for two days of industry discussion, focused networking and international
exchange.

Istanbul to Host the Fourth Edition of Superyacht Summit Türkiye

Now in its fourth edition, Superyacht Summit Türkiye is evolving beyond the traditional conference
format. The 2026 programme combines a full day of panels and presentations at The Peninsula
Istanbul with dedicated industry roundtables on the second day, giving delegates the opportunity to
explore the direction of the global superyacht market and build connections across its different sectors.

At a time when the industry is being reshaped by changing buyer expectations, new technology, rising
costs and shifting global capital, this year’s agenda focuses firmly on what comes next.
The conference will open with “The Strategic Intelligence Report for Türkiye’s Superyacht Sector,”
presented by SST and The Superyacht Group. Martin Redmayne will then moderate “Reading the
Market: What 2026 Told Us, What 2027 Might Bring, and What We Need to Do by 2030.” Alain
Auvare of Fraser, Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yachting and Arnaud de Gordon of UBS Switzerland
will examine recent transactions, order books and wider economic forces influencing demand,
alongside Türkiye’s continued rise within global yacht building.

That focus on the realities behind major yacht projects continues with “From Contract to Delivery of
Complex Yacht Projects.” Moderated by Efe Ülken, Founder of Ülken Law, the session will bring
together Ben Geary of Döhle Yachts, David Legrand of Fraser Yachts, Devrim Gündoğan of RMK
Yachts and Phil Noad of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry. The panel will explore where
multi-year projects most often lose momentum and how stronger governance, communication and
decision-making can keep complex builds on course.

“Finding the Right Long-Term Partner in Yacht Building” will examine the decisions made before a
project begins. Moderated by Ian Petts of Martyn Fiddler, the discussion will feature Andrea Armas
of Specialist Marine, Fabrizio Massa of The Italian Sea Group, Hans-Maarten Bais of Diana Yacht
Design and representatives from Mengi Yay Yachts. Trust, technical expertise, cultural fit and shared
long-term vision will come into focus, alongside what distinguishes Turkish shipyards in the eyes of
international clients.

The programme will also examine the decisions behind two new yacht projects.

“The Arcane Project: When Design, Engineering and Market Vision Come Together” will bring
together RMK Yachts, Espen Øino International, Volvo Penta and TWW Yachts to explore the new
55-metre Arcane Era and Arcane Nova concepts. The session will examine how propulsion
technology, design and market insight jointly shaped their layouts and appeal to future owners. “The
Decisions Behind Simena by Ares Yachts” will offer another project perspective, with Piraye
Şahinkaya Orhun moderating a discussion featuring Tanju Kalaycıoğlu of Taka Yacht Design and
John Everett of Design Unlimited.

The programme also looks beyond yacht construction itself.
In “Mediterranean Dynamics & The Making of a Luxury Destination,” moderator Marcela de Kern
will be joined by Denis Suka, The Yacht Mogul, Dilek Seven Tan of Kıyı Marina, Jose Marco
Casellini of M3 Monaco and Samuel Bolton of Quintessentially. The discussion will examine
movement across the Eastern Mediterranean and Gulf during the 2026 season, and how marina
infrastructure, hospitality, connectivity, service quality and cultural relevance define a destination’s
competitiveness.

“Why Yacht Management Defines the Ownership Experience” will feature Ian Harris of Phoenix
Yacht Management and Norman Schmiedl of Columbia Blue. The discussion will explore how
technical reliability, crew, financial control, compliance and owner privacy shape the ownership
experience, alongside Türkiye’s potential to become a trusted base for the long-term management of
Turkish-owned and international fleets.

Technology and changing client behaviour will take centre stage in “The New Rules of Yacht
Brokerage.” Moderated by Alev Semiz of Fraser Yachts, the panel will bring together Freya Olsen of
Boats Group, Nick Gelevert of Boatsters Black, Onur Ererdağ of Nautique Yachting and Steven
Myers of YATCO. They will discuss how AI, data and digital platforms are changing the way yachts are
discovered, evaluated and sold, and which capabilities will distinguish future-ready brokerage
businesses.

Design will be considered from a similarly long-term perspective. Moderated by Tamara M. Madra,
“Designing for the Second Owner” will bring together Luca Dini, Cana Gökhan of Red Yacht Design
and Özger Sarıkaya of Ulutaş Interior. The discussion will consider personalisation, resale value,
technological change and whether adaptability and longevity should become more meaningful
measures of sustainable interior design.

A fireside chat with Mehmet Karabeyoğlu and “The Global Economic Impact of The Superyacht
Industry,” presented by Dilan Sarac of The Superyacht Life Foundation, will add further
perspectives on the sector’s development and wider contribution. A cocktail party will follow the
conference on 4 November.

On 5 November, SST Roundtables will take place in the morning. Dedicated tables focusing on
different areas of the superyacht industry will bring professionals together for in-depth
discussions and targeted networking, offering participants the opportunity to exchange insights,
explore shared challenges and connect with peers working in their field.

For an international audience, this creates a focused combination: one day of market insight and
discussion with brokers, designers, financiers and industry leaders, followed by smaller conversations
designed to turn shared interests into professional connections.

For professionals already working with Türkiye, SST offers a concentrated view of where the market is
heading. For those who have yet to experience the Turkish superyacht industry first-hand, it provides
access to the people and ideas shaping one of the sector’s increasingly important centres.

On 4–5 November, Istanbul will once again become a meeting point for the conversations
shaping the next chapter of the global superyacht industry.
