Flags - Banners
Replacing lost or damaged flags - banners is necessary more often than one might imagine. This is particularly true of the ensign flag or nationality of the vessel flag, which experiences constant wear and tear due to 24/7 flying and salt water damage. Usually a captain will have at least one spare on board. A vessel travelling internationally will also need a range of courtesy flags to fly and show respect to each country visited.
