Polymers - Corrosion - Erosion – Chemical Attacks
Erosion is the disturbance of a material surface coating caused by high-velocity flows in pipelines, and corrosion is the removal of the protective surface coating due to electrochemical oxidation of metals in reaction with an oxidant. A polymer solvent attack is a degradation process that dissolves a polymer's molecular bonds when a solvent is introduced to a material. A polymer solvent attack makes it easier for polymeric materials to corrode. Toggle Filters
