Forty years have passed since the first nautical fair in Rijeka, and this milestone was the central theme of this year’s Rijeka Boat Show. In 2019, the fair came under new management, continuing its beautiful tradition with the support of partners, sponsors, and media. The gathering point for sea lovers was Karolina Riječka Pier, where numerous visitors eagerly explored the latest nautical equipment and an impressive selection of attractive vessels.
The trust of long-time exhibitors, who return year after year, remains a key indicator of the show’s success. Competitive and affordable exhibition prices, providing unmatched value for money, were highlighted as one of the event’s main advantages. Once again, Rijeka confirmed its status as a city where the nautical fair plays an important role in the cultural, economic, and tourist identity of the region.
This year’s event once again received full support from the City of Rijeka, the Rijeka Tourist Board, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and the Port Authority. Long-standing partners of the show include HEP d.d., ACI d.d., and ACI Gitone, while the official vehicle sponsor was A.C. Select. Media visibility was provided by Novi list, La Voce del Popolo, Burza Nautike, ACI No. 1, and Azimouthio Yachting Info.
Reflecting on the rich past while looking optimistically toward the future was a recurring theme. The City of Rijeka is focused on further developing nautical tourism, and planned projects will provide the necessary infrastructure to support the growth of the fair. Preparations for the next editions are already underway, with the show set to move to a new location – the most modern marina for nautical tourism in the Mediterranean, the future ACI Marina Rijeka.
