€41,000 for “Together for Children” from the 4th Enterprise & Marine Golf Tournament
From its very first year, the Enterprise & Marine Golf Tournament proved it was here to make its mark on the country’s sports and social landscape. Now, four years later, it has become one of the most recognized fundraising sports events in Greece, with steadily increasing participation, sponsorship support, and social impact.
This year’s tournament took place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Glyfada Golf Course “Konstantinos Karamanlis,” breaking attendance records and raising the impressive amount of €41,000 for the charitable organization “Together for Children.”
Organizer and professional golfer Panagiotis Karantzias stated: “This event started as a vision and has evolved into an institution. Once again, our goals were achieved, and the positive response is the greatest confirmation that we are doing something meaningful. The contribution of our sponsors, supporters, and prize donors is invaluable; without them, none of this would have been possible. We sincerely thank them for standing by us and supporting our charitable mission.”
The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, the Municipality of Glyfada, and the Hellenic Golf Federation.
A total of 148 players participated in the tournament, divided into teams of four, with two starting groups – the first at 08:15 and the second at 13:30. Athletes competed for dozens of prizes and took part in creative golf challenges, enjoying a well-organized game under excellent conditions.
The international character of the event stood out once again, with players traveling from various European countries to participate, further enhancing the tournament’s prestige and charitable mission.
The day culminated with the fundraising gala, which welcomed over 650 distinguished guests, including representatives from more than 70 leading companies in the business and maritime sectors, creating a unique environment of social contribution, networking, and solidarity.
The evening concluded with the awards ceremony at the elegant Manor House restaurant at Golf Prive Glyfada, offering panoramic views of the course. Awards for the top five winning teams were presented by the event sponsors, categorized by their sponsorship level.
The 1st Place Team was honored by the representative of Diamond sponsor D.K. FOTINAKIS LTD. (specializing in engineering studies, yacht construction, and ship repairs). The 2nd Place Team received awards from the Platinum sponsors: DYNAMIC GROUP OF COMPANIES (ship repairs), JET SET (ground handling services), and K. KYVERNITIS TRAVEL SHIPPING S.A. (general travel agency), and SAINT NICHOLAS (general ship repairs). The 3rd Place Team was awarded by the Gold sponsors: JOTUN (marine coatings), MARINE LOGISTICS (marine spare parts logistics), PANTHEON TANKERS MANAGEMENT (shipping company), and PLEASANCE (construction company). The 4th Place Team received awards from the Silver sponsors: ATLANTIC BULK CARRIERS’ MANAGEMENT LTD. (ship management), CENERGY HOLDINGS (investment group), SBA (international transport in Greece, Cyprus, and the Balkans), and SHIPS TOTAL CARE MANAGERS (ship repairs and maintenance). Finally, the 5th Place Team was awarded by the Bronze sponsors: EUROBANK (bank), GK YACHTING S.A. (yacht agency, repair, and conversion), NESS MARINE BROKERS (Hellas) LTD., and ORILINA PROPERTIES REIC S.A. (real estate management and leasing).
Honorary plaques were also awarded to all participating sponsors and supporters, while the evening raffle gave away over 450 gifts to lucky guests, offering moments of joy and emotion.
Part of the proceeds was donated to the “Together for Children” association, with this year’s charitable effort focusing on supporting children with disabilities living in child protection institutions throughout Greece. This initiative aims to ensure dignified living conditions, access to healthcare services, and education tailored to the needs of these children. Beyond financial support, the goal is to highlight the importance of social inclusion, equality, and genuine solidarity.
With the power of sport and collective effort, the Enterprise & Marine Golf Tournament once again proved it can make a real difference.
