Šolta, Maslinica 14/10/2025 The 10th Martinis Marchi Sailing Challenge 2025 Celebrated

On Tuesday, at Martinis Marchi Marina, our award-winning marina often recognized as the
Best Small Marina in Croatia, the jubilee 10th edition of the traditional regatta, Martinis
Marchi Sailing Challenge 2025, took place.

As every year, this unique event organized by Martinis Marchi Marina marked the end of a
successful tourist season with an exciting sailing competition, good music, great company,
and an equally important eco-action of cleaning the Maslinica harbour seabed.

Each year, Martinis Marchi Marina brings together representatives of leading Croatian
charter companies, partners, divers, and sea enthusiasts for this event.
A special focus is placed on the environmental initiative, organized in cooperation with the
long-term partner Trogir Diving Center, which, together with the Martinis Marchi Marina
team and the Basilija Municipal Company, regularly helps at the beginning and end of each
season in the valuable cleanup of the marina and Maslinica seabed.
This year, alongside the sailing yachts, beautiful traditional wooden boats, GAJETE, also
joined the challenge, adding a special Dalmatian charm to the event.

Rules, Atmosphere & Winners
At the start, 14 sailing yachts and 6 gajetas gathered.
According to the race rules, each crew could compete with one yacht between 40 and 55
feet, with 5 to 7 crew members (at least two of the same gender). Only charter sailing yachts
were allowed, using the mainsail and jib.
Under a bright, almost summer sky, the fleet set sail around the small islands of Šolta. After
two hours of exciting sailing, victory went to team Q-MARE, skippered by Zoran Lazić on
yacht X 50.
Among the traditional boats, the winner was Veli Gira (JL62) helmed by Jure Gabelić.

    After the regatta, the celebration continued at Martinis Marchi Marina with live music, great
    food, and many prizes.
    Martinis Marchi Marina rewarded not only the most successful teams but also those that
    showed true sportsmanship and team enthusiasm.
    The lively atmosphere was kept alive by local klapa Sotto Voce and the Smoje brothers, who
    entertained guests with traditional Dalmatian songs late into the night.
    A highlight of the evening was the Martinis Marchi Lottery, featuring fantastic prizes:
  • A one-night stay for two at the Martinis Marchi Heritage Castle
  • A dinner at Martinis Marchi Restaurant
  • A berth in Martinis Marchi Marina
    A Tradition That Connects
    As in previous years, the Martinis Marchi Sailing Challenge was not just a sporting event but
    a celebration of community, the sea, and local heritage.
    It is precisely this authentic blend of sport, music, and good Dalmatian food that makes
    Maslinica and Martinis Marchi an unmissable destination for all lovers of the sea, tradition,
    and genuine Dalmatian hospitality.
